Summer Term Schedule Preview~!!

CDA Summer 2013 Schedule Preview is out today~!!

Our school website will be locked on April 30th for content update. The full Summer Brochure will be released on May 1st with class descriptions and more artworks.

This summer we will only be accepting enrollment through online shopping cart. So make sure to get your Paypal & Credit Cards ready as we will not be accepting checks to help speed up the process.

If you are interested in joining in on early enrollment opportunity, make sure to e-mail us to be added to our e-mail list for information.

"Blendoku" released from Lonely Few~!!

Our good friend, Yeong-Hao Han from the game studio, Lonely Few have just released their game, "Blendoku" on the Apple App Store.

It is a fun puzzle game based on color hues and value gradations. Great for anyone who want to sharpen up their eye for color in a fun way.

The game is free on iPhone/iPad/Android devices. Make sure to check it out~ :)

"Design & Art Direction" with Stephan Martiniere on April 6 & 7~!!

Hi everyone,

Stephan Martiniere will be coming to LA for a 2 Days "Design & Art Direction" workshop at CDA on April 6 & 7 (Sat & Sun, 2PM~7PM).

Stephan's experience range from animation, film, games and illustration and have been responsible for Design & Art Direction for many memorable projects such as "Tron Legacy (film)", "Total Recall (film)", "Rage (video game)", and classics such as "Inspector Gadget (animation)".

Come join us for this special event and learn from his years of experience in crafting unique visual experiences for entertainment industry.

*** Reminder - No Uninstructed Figure Drawing Workshop on March 31 & April 7 (Sunday) ***

Hi everyone,

Just a quick reminder that there will be no Uninstructed Figure Drawing Workshop at CDA on both March 31 (Easter Sunday) and April 7 (during Stephan Martiniere Workshop).

The Uninstructed Figure Drawing workshop will resume again on April 14 for the last workshop of the Spring Semester.

Thanks for everyone who have been coming to draw with us every week and we will see you again after the short break.

"Figure & Composition" with John Watkiss on March 23~!!

We are only a week and a half away from John Watkiss' "Figure & Composition" workshop on Saturday, March 23 from 10AM ~ 3PM, tuition $100.

John Watkiss is well know for his memorable designs in films such as "Tarzan", "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow", "Sherlock Holmes" and the TV show, "Walking Dead".

This is a video conference workshop being telecast from England with lectures, live demo and Q&A.

(Original illustrations and Sky Captain storyboards will be on display at CDA during the event.)

This is a great workshop for anyone interested in learning about the design process of creating striking figure compositions for animation, film, book illustrations or comic book panels.
